Change becomes tangible in ordinary life.

“In just a few months of attending Kaiut Yoga classes, I’ve experienced a decrease in tightness and an increase in range of motion in my neck, hips, and toes. This makes everything I do easier and more comfortable.”
Kaiut student
“I have never felt so good in the way my body moves than I did after this class.”

01

The knee works with nearby joints

Ankles and hips can affect knee movement. The class works with all three.

02

Start at a workable height

You can begin at a table, chair, or wall. Renae can change the setup.

03

Bring medical guidance

Tell Renae about repairs, replacements, arthritis, and restrictions. Follow guidance from your clinician.

04

Watch daily transitions

Notice stairs, the car, and kneeling over time. Stop when sensation becomes sharp.

Start with the question that brought you here.

These are the questions people bring when pain, stiffness, stress, or lost mobility has started shaping daily life. The answers begin with what Kaiut students experience, then connect those outcomes to the practice and the research.

Question 01

Can yoga help with chronic knee pain?

Knees usually carry the consequences of ankles and hips that stopped moving years ago, which is why stretching the knee itself rarely settles it. Kaiut works the joints above and below, slowly, with the height and support your knee can tolerate today. Students describe stairs, kneeling, and getting out of a car becoming ordinary again. Research on yoga has also found meaningful improvements in several related areas, including chronic low-back-pain function, knee-arthritis pain and stiffness, chronic neck pain, older-adult mobility, sleep quality, and anxiety symptoms. The research section below shows the evidence most relevant to this question.

Question 02

Why does my knee hurt when the problem is supposedly my hip?

Knees usually carry the consequences of ankles and hips that stopped moving years ago, which is why stretching the knee itself rarely settles it. Kaiut works the joints above and below, slowly, with the height and support your knee can tolerate today. Students describe stairs, kneeling, and getting out of a car becoming ordinary again. The next useful step is to experience the method in the room. The $45 introduction gives you three classes or two unlimited weeks to notice what changes when the body receives this kind of time, support, and attention.

Question 03

Is Kaiut Yoga safe after a knee replacement?

A joint replacement needs the specific precautions and timing given by the surgeon or rehabilitation team. Bring those instructions before class, including limits on range, load, kneeling, and transfers. A massage table, chair, or props can change a setup, but they do not clear a surgical history for movement.

Question 04

Is this appropriate for knee arthritis?

The studio already has mats, wooden blocks, orange bolsters, and wall space. Each tool changes height, distance, balance demand, or how much weight a student carries. Using more support is an ordinary part of the method, not a lesser version reserved for beginners.

Question 05

How is this different from the knee exercises my physical therapist gave me?

Physical therapy is licensed healthcare. A physical therapist can assess a condition and build an individual rehabilitation plan within professional scope. Kaiut Yoga is a group movement class. It may sit alongside therapy when your clinician agrees, but it should not reinterpret restrictions, replace an evaluation, or become a reason to change rehabilitation on your own.

Question 06

Can I come if I am currently in a flare?

A flare is a reason to reassess the day, not prove that slow movement is always appropriate. Follow the plan from the clinician managing the condition and tell Renae what has changed. Watching, using another position, or skipping class may be the clearer choice.

The evidence supports movement, function, and quality of life.

These studies tested yoga programs rather than Kaiut Yoga Austin specifically. They strengthen the case for practice while the student stories above show what people have experienced with this method.
