Active listening toward better calm and balance

This active listening practice leads to a deeply calming, slow-paced class. This is your deep tissue, stretching class. We all know stretching is important and this class will hold you accountable.

Athletes enjoy faster recovery between workouts and less soreness when compared with their peers. Consistency with this practice pays off with well-balanced muscle tone and overall joint health. It’s appropriate for all ages and abilities. If you can sit in a chair, stand on a mat, and lay on your back, you can practice yoga.

This is not an intuitive movement type of class. Although quite valuable in certain contexts, intuitive movement bypasses the restrictions we aim to target and dissolve in this practice. You can think of this class as a guided meditation that includes targeted, individualized instruction.

We break free from the tendency to achieve poses, have conversations in our mind and judge our bodies. These things are good at times, but we want to break this loop that creates more and more anxiety in our systems.

We use our capacity to listen, feel feedback from our bodies, and allow the silence inside to help move us closer to spontaneous meditation.

In this class, we’ll use the Kaiut Yoga Method, a results-based practice designed, tested, and developed empirically and scientifically by Francisco Kaiut, which took years, based on chiropractic, yoga and other healing techniques. Kaiut Yoga is a reinterpretation of yoga into a new method; it’s firmly based on the original vision yet adapted to the needs of a 21st-century reality.

A consistent practice has been known to increase mobility, function, and overall freedom of movement. Testimonials advocate that this non-surgical, non-steroidal lifestyle solution helps to alleviate chronic shoulder, hip, and foot issues such as frozen shoulder and other chronic pain.

Students can expect to synchronize the body and mind subtly from the beginning to the end of class, setting the stage for spontaneous meditation. You’ll be guided toward perceived awareness, such as physical sensations, spatial awareness, and internal subtleties, while you work with improving joint health.

Whether you're a seasoned yogi or haven’t touched your toes in years, Kaiut Yoga is for you. This method is designed to be accessible and beneficial for any body type, regardless of your history, injury, or flexibility. We welcome everyone on this journey to improved mobility and joint health.
