Menopause is becoming a hot topic!

Some of the most consistent advice I’ve heard about navigating menopause is to train the body to lift heavier and heavier weights. But before your mind jumps straight to big weights in the gym, let’s start with a smaller, more achievable goal.
In Kaiut Yoga, we recognize that this process begins with something even more foundational.
Let's consider lifting your own body weight. This isn’t just about the obvious movements, like getting up and down off the floor. It’s also about being able to lift your own leg, support it with a strap, lift your torso, and move your limbs with awareness and control.
Let’s start by reclaiming basic functions like getting up and down off the floor and lifting our limbs, torso, and body—before stepping into the gym. These are the true foundations of strength, longevity, and freedom of movement.
When was the last time you got down on the floor?
If it’s been a while, you’re not alone. But every day you avoid it is one more day your body forgets how.
